Meet Your Coach
I’m a quadruple board-certified psychiatrist based in Tucson, Arizona, and adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry. I have worked in community mental health, hospital, and residential settings with both children and adults.
I have lived in a variety of locales, throughout the United States and internationally. I attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles, and medical school at St. George’s University.
I completed my residency training in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Arizona, and then went on for additional training via fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. I have additional specialization in Integrative Psychiatry through the University of Arizona and the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I am also trained in providing Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help process trauma.
I practice psychiatry with a holistic approach. During our initial comprehensive evaluation, I will ask many questions and listen carefully to gather detailed information regarding the symptoms you are experiencing, your lifestyle (nutrition/exercise), areas of stress, areas of joy, and how they fit into your life history. I may order lab tests or request to speak with your primary care provider or other members of your health team to garner more information if appropriate.
My goal is to offer you options for traditional and complementary tools to reach your potential and live your best life. I work best in collaboration with my patients, offering support and well thought out choices tailored to your individual needs. Together, I hope we can create a guide/map to navigate the way to happiness and health.
I'm an educational consultant specializing in STEM coursework, and a success coach who helps children and young adults achieve their academic and interpersonal goals.
I earned my MA in Education in 2007 from the University of California Los Angeles (go Bruins!) with a focus in knowledge-creation and curriculum development.
I teach trauma-informed care practices through mind-body skills having completed advanced training with the prestigious Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
I'm also certified in evidence-based social skills training for young adults with autism spectrum disorder and other social challenges through the UCLA PEERS Clinic at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.
I find purpose in supporting others to find their empowerment and lead their most authentic life in service to humanity. I enjoy meeting new people, exploring cultures, and creating art when I'm not doing science.
